InSIMenator.net is an independent, fan-run guide of Sims 2 modding knowledge. It explains what notable mods did, how custom content works and how players can approach older material carefully.
What the guide covers
- The history and purpose of major community mods.
- General techniques for installing and making Sims 2 mods and custom content.
- Community practices around credit, compatibility and safe testing.
Begin with the FAQ and Getting Started guide. For a specific subject, continue to the InSIMenator, hacks, or custom content.
A note on files
This guide explains modding knowledge but does not host downloads. For files that have vanished entirely, the Internet Archive is often a useful place to search.
This independent fan guide is not affiliated with the publisher of The Sims.
